Reflections of Marshal Jackson
My roots are from the mountains of North Carolina; reflecting on natural subjects is in my blood.
For me, each painting is an attempt to capture the beauty that is around us every day —in life's ordinary things.
My artwork is meant to give observers an opportunity to pause and reflect on that beauty.
My technique of using oil on canvas— blending colors and applying them with palette knives to create raised textures in the artwork— makes the pause happen.
