Learning About Loss / Kite - The second in a series on childhood experiences that many can relate to as lessons about learning to cope with loss. In this depiction witness the dejection of a boy who moments before was thrilled with his kite soaring and looping across the sky, only to have it snatched from the air and strangled by a tree branch. The piece is oil on canvas, completed in February, 2024.
